To facilitate timely screening and sign-in at seats following the lunch break, The Law Society recommends that candidates bring their lunch in a disposable or reusable clear container or wrapping that fits in their clear storage bag containing their personal items. Candidates should also bring enough water or other beverages for the day in clear plastic containers.
The format of the examination is open book and multiple-choice and is divided into two parts. Part 1 will take place in the morning and Part 2 will take place in the afternoon. However, candidate's reference materials, notes, textbooks, binders and other materials may not be removed from the Licensing Examination Testing Area once brought in. The Law Society respects the environmental concerns of its Licensing Candidates and wishes you to be aware that binders in large quantities cannot be screened or repurposed by The Law Society, and must be destroyed. They are not recommended for use in the Testing Area of the Licensing Examination. Loose binder rings and cerlox bindings are preferable.
Prohibited personal items brought to the examination will not be permitted in the Testing Area. Prohibited items must be stored with the coat check service provided by the venue. Please refer to the Prohibited Items list provided in the Licensing Examination Rules and Protocol document.
Candidates who have been approved for an accommodation will be sent a confirmation of registration directly from the Coordinator, Accommodations in Examination Administration prior to the Licensing Examination sitting.
