Guidelines for Suspended Lawyers

Suspended lawyers and lawyers who have given undertakings not to practise continue to be governed by the Law Society's By-laws and Rules of Professional Conduct. In particular, suspended lawyers must comply with:

  • By-law 7.1 (Part II)  
  • By-law 9 (Part II.1)  
  •  and
  • Sub-rule 6.07(3) of the Rules of Professional Conduct and the commentary to it.
