Lawyers and paralegals wanting to practise in another jurisdiction may be required to submit a Certificate of Standing along with their application.
Certificates may be obtained from the Client Service Centre or place an order through the e-transactions site.
The cost for a certificate is $50.00 plus applicable taxes and is payable prior to issuing the certificate. Depending on the volume of requests, it normally takes approximately two weeks to process a certificate. For this reason, lawyers and paralegals are asked to place their request at their earliest opportunity.
