Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) no longer requires the Annual Fee tax receipt to be attached to your tax return. As a result, the Law Society no longer automatically issues tax receipts. If CRA audits your tax return and requires a tax receipt, the Law Society will issue a receipt, upon request, within 3 business days.
Tax receipt requests may be directed to the Accounts office. Original tax receipts are provided at no charge.
Duplicate tax receipts must be requested in writing at a cost of $10.00 (plus applicable taxes) each. Payment must be enclosed with the request. Please allow two to three weeks for processing.
