A great resource including access to a number of online architectural databases. Of particular interest is the digitized journal The Canadian Architect and Builder (1888-1908).

A well done searchable inventory of buildings and other structures in Toronto. The author is a former archivist and he is rigorous in his work. His sources are cited in the database.

City of Toronto Archives
The City of Toronto Archives is the repository for Toronto's historical records. Their web site includes information on their holdings and services and also gives users access to online exhibitions and a collection of digitized images.

Historicity
The Toronto Public Library's portal for Toronto history. Includes digitalized city directories going back as far as 1833 and access to a collection of digitized images. 

City of Toronto – Cultural Services

The webpage of the City of Toronto Cultural Services provides links to a number of heritage resources including the City’s museums, tours, virtual exhibitions, and history resources such as a history of Toronto and a bibliography of Toronto.

Archives of Ontario
The Archives of Ontario website allows users to search the Archives' holdings, it provides useful research tools and it gives visitors access to online exhibitions and an image database.

A gateway to search Ontario archives holdings.

The site provides an engine to search the Archives collections, a number of thematic research tools and several online exhibitions.

Canadian Archival Information Network
A portal that allows searching the collections of many archives in Canada. Also an access point for online historical exhibitions.

Virtual Museum of Canada
A recent initiative of the Canadian government, the virtual museum of Canada brings together virtual exhibitions, image databases, educational games, a listing of museums in Canada and teachers' materials.

Early Canadiana Online
A digital library which, according to their site, provides access to 1,037,000 pages of Canadian printed heritage.

Canada's Digital collections
A showcase of over 400 websites in the areas of geography, history, science, technology and culture.
