WOMEN IN TRANSITION PROGRAM: Returning to Legal Practice or Considering an Alternative Career in Law (University of Toronto Faculty of Law Institute for Executive Education)
Today's legal environment offers greater options than ever before for women wanting to combine family and other personal pursuits with a rewarding legal career - including alternative careers in law firms, business, regulatory bodies, the public interest, community organizations, government, academia and the university, as well as a range of part-time and full-time options and share arrangements in more traditional practice areas. "Women in Transition" is a two-day intensive program designed to increase your understanding of the new legal marketplace, highlight your options, gain confidence in yourself, and provide you with practical tools and tips to prepare you for your next rewarding career in law.
The Reconnect Program
The Richard Ivey School of Business' ReConnect program provides a unique and empowering learning experience for women who have temporarily stepped out of careers as experienced managers or professionals and are now ready to re-enter the job market. During this seven-day immersion program, you will gain the confidence you need to effectively step back into your career. Renew critical business knowledge; provide leadership skills; explore a new career path; leave the program re-energized, with a personal action plan to reconnect with your career. The ReConnect program is for Women who are experienced managers or professionals and have been out of the workforce or in alternate employment for an extended period and who have now made the decision to re-enter the professional world. ReConnect participants are considering a variety of career options, from new ventures to large-size organizations, in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
Project for Attorney Retention - Opting Back in Program: Helping Attorneys Return to the Law
This program is run by the Centre for Work Life Law at the University of California Hastings College of Law and is designed to assist lawyers seeking to return to practice after leaving law for a year or more to care for their families.
